Natalie Ranae is a self-taught macramé artist who made her first plant hanger and didn’t look back. She fell in love with the craft and made a career from it, teaching workshops all over Ontario, selling original designs on her website, and creating large-scale custom orders for clients. Natalie is an internationally published author and her book "Macramé at Home" includes 20+ macramé projects for beginners and beyond. She splits her time working out of her home studio surrounded by her three cats and a co-working studio for creatives that she co-founded with her best friend Jenn, called Kindred Loft. Graduating from OCAD University with a bachelor’s degree in design, Natalie majored in and is also a professional jeweler and metalsmith. She has never limited herself to one form of creating and loves goldsmithing, knitting, crocheting, woodworking and whatever else she decides she wants to learn. Her unique approach to design and her attention to detail are consistent across any medium she works in. When she isn’t making or working on growing her business, Natalie spends her time tackling DIYs with her husband on their 100-year-old house, volunteering locally and watering the jungle of plants in her home. Who says you can’t be a crazy cat and plant lady?!
